The WittySprout Autumn set turns the most colourful season into a child’s own canvas. Each page of the magnetic book is a scene waiting to be brought to life — a forest floor blanketed in fallen leaves, an orchard at harvest time, a meadow where the wind carries seeds away, a cosy doorway lit by the early dusk. Children arrange the included magnetic figures and elements to populate these scenes, retell what they notice on autumn walks, and invent stories of their own.

Unlike a finished picture book, nothing here is fixed. The squirrel can gather acorns under the oak today and hide them in the hollow tomorrow. The fallen leaf can drift to the ground, or land in a child’s collected bouquet. This open-endedness is the point: it is what transforms a toy into a tool for thinking.

Built on Montessori principles

• Realistic imagery, not cartoons. Trees, animals, and harvest produce are illustrated true to life, so children connect what they hold in their hands with what they see in the world.
• Self-directed play. No instructions to follow, no “correct” arrangement. The child leads; the adult observes.
• Concrete before abstract. Tactile magnets and physical placement come first — language, sequencing, and narrative grow naturally from the manipulation.
• Prepared environment, portable. The book closes flat with all pieces secured inside, ready for the kitchen table, a long train ride, or a grandparent’s house.
