The WittySprout Summer set turns the brightest season into a child’s own canvas. Each page of the magnetic book is a scene waiting to be brought to life — a beach by a calm sea, a meadow buzzing with butterflies, an orchard with ripening fruit, a garden after sunset filled with fireflies. Children arrange the included magnetic figures and elements to populate these scenes, retell what they experience on their own summer days, and invent stories of their own.

Unlike a finished picture book, nothing here is fixed. The seashell can rest on the sand today and travel home in a pocket tomorrow. The butterfly can settle on the sunflower, or follow the child across the meadow. This open-endedness is the point: it is what transforms a toy into a tool for thinking.

Built on Montessori principles

• Realistic imagery, not cartoons. Animals, plants, and seaside life are illustrated true to life, so children connect what they hold in their hands with what they see in the world.
• Self-directed play. No instructions to follow, no “correct” arrangement. The child leads; the adult observes.
• Concrete before abstract. Tactile magnets and physical placement come first — language, sequencing, and narrative grow naturally from the manipulation.
• Prepared environment, portable. The book closes flat with all pieces secured inside, ready for the kitchen table, a beach bag, or a grandparent’s garden.
